With this clock the motor in the base drives the glass in the centre via a gearbox. The glass turns the minute hand and that in turn drives the hour hand via a gearbox.

The clock is actually gold plated and was made in the 1950s in the United States.

The clock has a new American made motor fitted to run in the UK (240v 60Hz) and fitted with a braided lead. The clock has been PAT tested.

The clock works properly and is generally in good condition although as can be seen in the pictures the gold plating is not perfect in some spots.
